SAXOPHONIST

In 1993, I graduated cum laude from the Maastricht Conservatory as a Saxophone Teaching Musician. Two years later, in 1995, I also obtained my Saxophone Performing Musician diploma, again with the distinction cum laude.

I'm a passionate saxophonist with extensive experience as a soloist. This is evident in my many performances and CD recordings, including with the Grand Harmony Orchestra of the Belgian Guides, the Singapore Armed Forces, and the Marine Band. My musical journey has taken me both within the Netherlands and far beyond, with concerts in Belgium, Germany, Spain, Italy, and Singapore, among other countries.

In short: I play with craftsmanship, passion and a deep love for my instrument — and with that I know how to touch my audience again and again.

Coaching

Workshops & group coaching for saxophonists

Existing ensembles or saxophone groups within hafa orchestras are also very welcome to join me for an inspiring and interactive workshop. During these sessions, I'll work with you on ensemble playing, balance, sound production, and musical expression.

Whether it's about strengthening your collaboration, refining playing techniques, or simply finding new musical inspiration: together we'll take things to the next level.

The workshops can take place at your location, in my music studio, or—if desired—online. This makes it easy for us to get started with your entire group.

Trio with panache

Trio Con Brio – music with fire and virtuosity

Sparkling and virtuosic: that's how we would best describe our music-making style. The idea for Trio Con Brio came to me during the 1997 WMC. The impressive music I heard there inspired me so much that the plan for this ensemble was born immediately. Con brio means "with fire, lively"—exactly how we make music together and perform on stage.

During our performances, we play as a duo or trio, featuring various instruments and surprising combinations. This allows us to consistently offer our audiences a colorful, virtuoso, and varied program, brimming with energy and musical finesse.

I give a large part of the lessons at my home in my own music studio.
